Key responsibilities for the Vice President or Principal include proactively sourcing new investment opportunities, leading diligence efforts, and managing transaction processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in growth equity, venture capital, or private equity, with a strong emphasis on consumer and technology sectors. Excellent financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain relationships with industry participants. The role also involves mentoring junior investment professionals and contributing to the team's development. The role demands a professional with 5-10 years' of relevant experience, a proven track record in deal origination and execution, and a passion for investing in founder-led, high-growth businesses. The candidate should have a strong network within the consumer and technology ecosystem and be adept at interacting with founders and management teams. A background in growth equity, venture capital, or technology-focused investment firms is preferred, as is experience as a Board Observer or in portfolio company involvement.
