Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Remote (anywhere in Japan)

The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and VP of Engineering to lead the definition and execution of its technology strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the organization's technical capabilities support business growth, operational scale, and long-term competitiveness. This role involves overseeing engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and technology operations, and requires close collaboration with the executive team to align technical roadmaps with business priorities. The CTO will also play a key role in the company's AI strategy, partnering with IT and AI leaders to ensure that engineering and technical decisions enable successful AI adoption. Key responsibilities for the CTO include defining technology and architecture strategy, managing short and long-range technology priorities, providing engineering leadership, and offering technical design and security guidance. The role demands a visionary technology leader with a strong technical foundation across various domains, including cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, data platforms, and emerging AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling technology platforms and teams, be a trusted advisor to executive leadership, and be experienced in driving cross-functional alignment to achieve enterprise objectives.
