Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to oversee and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of all accounting operations within the Belgian organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities, including A-Z accounting, monthly and annual closing, and financial reporting. This role demands a leader with a strong background in accounting, at least 10 years' experience, and a proven track record in a leadership or coordinating capacity. The Head of Accounting will also be involved in people management, process improvement, and digitalization, and must be a hands-on, solution-oriented professional with excellent communication skills. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and have a solid understanding of financial statements, auditing, and reporting. Basic knowledge of taxation is required, with an interest in further development in this area. The role involves close collaboration with the CFO, external auditors, and advisors, and the ability to clearly explain financial information to various stakeholders is essential. The ideal candidate will be a convincing people manager, a change driver, and have a strong affinity for ERP and automation. Fluency in Dutch and English is a must, and experience in an international or multi-entity environment is an additional asset.
