Head of Legal Department

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal Department to join their team. The successful candidate will be a senior lawyer with a strong background in commercial and tax law, particularly in the areas of commercial contracts, corporate transactions, and ongoing business advice. The role involves leading the legal department, providing comprehensive legal and tax advice, and managing a range of legal matters including corporate transactions, commercial contracts, and company formation and restructuring. The Head of Legal will also be responsible for client management, internal and external exposure, and leading a challenging project. Applicants for the Head of Legal Department position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience and be adept at coordinating commercial and tax areas, as well as identifying the legal and tax implications of various transactions. The role requires the ability to lead a team, define work criteria, and ensure the technical quality of legal services. Direct communication with clients, acting as a trusted advisor, and understanding their legal and business needs are essential. The ideal candidate will have a profile with business acumen, autonomy, and the capacity to take on greater responsibilities within the firm. Experience in a multidisciplinary firm, corporate and tax boutique, or professional services firm is considered an asset.
