Head of Finance

The Company is in search of a strategic Head of Finance to oversee its national financial operations. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the Country Managing Director and international executive leadership, playing a pivotal role in defining and driving the national business strategy. This executive-level position demands a professional with a proven track record in a top-tier financial leadership role within an international corporate environment, and a deep understanding of local and international financial frameworks. The Head of Finance will be responsible for financial governance, reporting, and ensuring compliance with local laws, as well as leading the national finance organization and associated corporate departments. Applicants for the Head of Finance role at the company should hold a university degree in a relevant field, with a Chartered Accountant Certification being preferred. The role requires extensive experience in board or executive leadership, strategic decision-making, and exceptional people management skills. While experience in retail or a similar industry is advantageous, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will have a high level of integrity, an analytical mindset, and the ability to influence stakeholders at both local and international levels. Fluency in English and Hungarian, with at least an intermediate level of German knowledge, is mandatory. The Head of Finance will also be expected to have a strong background in risk and performance management, and talent management, and to be adept at fostering a culture of continuous development and high performance within the finance division.
