Area Vice President, Cancer Service Line

Greater Charlotte, NC Area
The Company is seeking an Area Vice President for its Cancer Service Line. The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior management team, providing visionary leadership and fostering a common vision for the service line. This role involves representing the service line in various initiatives and programs, collaborating with leadership to prioritize and model the financial impact of new business models, and leading monthly operation performance reviews. The Area Vice President will also be responsible for developing and implementing annual business plans, growth strategies, and operational objectives, as well as overseeing both ambulatory and inpatient services to ensure high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a Master’s or terminal degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of healthcare administrative experience, including at least 5 years in a management role overseeing clinical operations or service lines. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in healthcare planning, operations, and financial management, as well as the ability to lead large, multispecialty service lines in a complex, matrixed environment. Strong communication, relationship-building, and change management skills are essential, as is the ability to influence and gain support across the organization. The Area Vice President will also be involved in supporting the academic mission, championing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
