Associate Vice President, Fund Accounting, Hedge Funds

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Fund Accounting in Hedge Funds. The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality of fund accounting service delivery to assigned clients, including the review, approval, and preparation of various valuations. This role involves managing a team to meet service standards and deadlines, resolving complex transactions, and enhancing the team's efficiency and collaboration. The AVP will also be involved in idea generation for operational service model improvement, supporting the management of the fund services operating model, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of all fund accounting processing. Proactive client relationship management and the ability to work with various operational groups are essential. Applicants should have a minimum of 3-4 years' experience in hedge fund accounting, with at least 2 years at a supervisory level. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications and complex OTC derivatives is required, as is a degree in an accounting or finance-related field. The role demands excellent communication, writing skills, and the ability to maintain a high standard of training and competence for team members. The AVP will also be responsible for continuous process review, efficiency enhancement, and ensuring a strong focus on customer service. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to client development requests, efficiency initiatives, and stakeholder relationships, and will work closely with the Senior Account Manager to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
