The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel for the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region. The successful candidate will be a key legal advisor, providing strategic guidance and support for the company's operations in the region. This role involves leading legal initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing government relations, and mitigating legal risks to facilitate business growth. The Associate General Counsel will also be responsible for drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, overseeing external legal counsel, and developing legal policies and training programs. Close collaboration with senior leadership, external stakeholders, and internal departments is essential to safeguard the organization's legal interests. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree, be licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction within the MENA region or a common law jurisdiction, and have a minimum of 10 years' of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house at a multinational company. Expertise in commercial contract law, data privacy, employment law, and competition law is required, as is experience with international transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters. The role demands excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in another European or Middle Eastern language is a plus. The position also requires the ability to travel internationally as needed.
