Head of Development, Digital & Mobile

The Company is in search of a Head of Development - Digital & Mobile to take on a senior leadership role with a focus on engineering strategy, people leadership, and technical excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing multiple engineering teams across mobile and web, defining and executing the digital engineering strategy and roadmap, and owning the end-to-end software development lifecycle. This role requires a strong emphasis on driving engineering excellence, championing security, quality, and compliance, and improving the developer experience and engineering productivity. The Head of Development will also be expected to balance core product development with customer-specific requirements, partner with senior stakeholders, and drive innovation, including the effective use of AI in software development. Applicants for the Head of Development position at the company should have significant experience in leading multiple software engineering teams, with a strong background in delivering mobile and web products. Experience with modern frontend technologies, APIs, application architecture, and modern engineering practices is essential. A proven track record of improving delivery, quality, and engineering processes, as well as experience in fintech, banking, or another regulated environment, is highly desirable. The role also requires strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to develop leaders and build high-performing engineering teams. A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
