Vice President, Azure Cloud Platform Engineer (Terraform, K8S, IaC)

The Company is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer with a focus on Terraform, K8S, and IaC to join their expanding cloud team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the regional management of a regulated, enterprise-scale cloud environment that supports critical banking services across EMEA. This hands-on engineering role involves owning and enhancing the Azure platform, supporting cloud-native innovation, and leading the migration and modernization of legacy banking systems. The role also requires close collaboration with various teams, including architecture, infrastructure, information security, risk, compliance, data, and audit, to ensure the platform aligns with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies. Applicants must have deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise or regulated environments, strong knowledge of Azure landing zones, management groups, and governance frameworks, and experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and container platform engineering. Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code, as well as experience in building automated CI/CD and deployment pipelines, is essential. The role demands a strong understanding of cloud security, zero-trust, identity, encryption, and access controls, and experience in designing highly available, resilient, and disaster-recovery-ready platforms. A background in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry is required, with exposure to AWS or GCP being advantageous. The candidate should also have the right to work in Dublin and be prepared for a role that involves significant technical responsibility and influence over platform strategy.
