Vice President, Investment Strategist

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Investment Strategist for its Consumer Banking Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating investment strategies for private banking and treasury private client customers, ensuring compliance with all external regulations and internal requirements. This role involves expressing the Chief Investment Office's (CIO) investment strategy to front-line teams and clients, contributing to the generation of thematic ideas and macro strategy, and producing regular update reports on market and CIO views. The Vice President will also be accountable for monitoring and analyzing customer investment portfolios, providing strategic alternatives, and bridging economic trends with business opportunities to formulate investment strategies. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in fund management, private banking, or investment research, with a strong industry knowledge and fluent writing skills. A background of at least 5 years in front office and client-facing roles within the banking or financial industry is essential, as is experience with various financial products such as equity, fixed income, or mutual funds. The role requires excellent communication, portfolio management, and presentation skills, as well as a high level of analytical, numerate, and innovative thinking. A graduate degree in commerce, finance, economics, or a related field is required, with a postgraduate degree or professional qualifications such as CFP, CFA, or FRM being an added advantage. Fluency in spoken and written Chinese is also a necessary requirement for this position.
