Head of Design & Technical Project Management

The Company is in search of a Head of Design and Technical Project Management for its metallurgical plant engineering division. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading a technically demanding department, overseeing design, technical project management, and the evolution of the product portfolio. This key role involves professional and disciplinary leadership of a technical team, driving technical and organizational improvements, and close collaboration with sales, project management, and international clients. The Head will also be responsible for the optimization and standardization of design and project management processes, as well as the management of technical customer projects from conception to successful implementation. Applicants for the Head of Design and Technical Project Management position at the company should hold a completed technical degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field, and have several years of experience in mechanical or plant engineering, preferably in a metallurgical environment. A strong background in the design of complex machines and plants, technical project management, and leadership is essential. The role requires a deep understanding of technical relationships, customer-specific solutions, and experience in process optimization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the metal industry, with knowledge of rolling mill technology or cold rolling being a distinct advantage.
