Head of Solution Engineering, R&D

The Company is seeking a Head of Solution Engineering (R&D) to lead the integration of cutting-edge technology within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for championing a hybrid leadership model that combines high-level architectural design with active, hands-on software and AI delivery. This role goes beyond traditional management, as the Head of Solution Engineering will spearhead R&D initiatives, design enterprise-grade data architectures, and directly engage in the codebase to ensure production-ready deployment. The ideal candidate is a deeply hands-on tech leader with a passion for coding and a proven track record in designing, building, and delivering robust software architectures alongside integrated AI/ML solutions. Applicants must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of engineering experience, with a focus on advanced programming, software engineering, and enterprise solution architecture. Key skills include proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and .Net, as well as experience with GenAI, Agentic AI, and technical leadership. The role requires strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and an entrepreneurial mindset to drive operational efficiency and guide high-performance engineering talent. A background in agile, high-growth startup environments or modernized agile corporate teams is essential, and formal managerial or team leadership experience in a fast-paced tech environment is a bonus.
