Chief of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology
About the Role
Greater Lexington-Fayette, KY Area
The Company is seeking a Chief for its Division of Pediatric Nephrology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the premier pediatric kidney program in the region, with a focus on advancing clinical excellence, research, education, and regional outreach. This role involves providing comprehensive care for a wide range of pediatric kidney diseases, including serving as a major referral center. The Chief will also be instrumental in expanding access to pediatric nephrology services, particularly in rural and underserved communities, and will be expected to shape the future growth of the program through strategic faculty recruitment and service expansion. Applicants for the Chief position should be collaborative physician leaders with a strong background in clinical practice, academic achievement, and program development. The role requires a candidate with an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, board certification in Pediatric Nephrology, and eligibility for medical licensure in Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a multidisciplinary environment and will be dedicated to fostering a culture of collegiality, accountability, and innovation. Responsibilities also include working closely with departmental and hospital leadership to advance clinical programs, strengthen educational initiatives, and expand research activities within the Division of Pediatric Nephrology.
