Head of Product Development

The Company is seeking a Head of Product Development to take on the overall responsibility for the integrated development of hardware, software, and cloud systems. The successful candidate will lead a product development organization of approximately 20 employees, with a focus on system integration, quality, and future-proofing. Key responsibilities include end-to-end management of new products and features, ensuring product quality, and making critical decisions regarding architecture, technology, and development processes. The role also involves close collaboration with product management, support, procurement, and production, as well as external partners. Applicants for the Head of Product Development position at the company should have a technical degree and several years' of relevant experience in systems engineering or product development. A strong background at the intersection of software and hardware, particularly with software/IoT experience and a solid understanding of hardware, is essential. Experience in system validation, testing processes, and ideally in energy technology, automation, or connected energy systems, is also required. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in managing technically diverse teams, a deep understanding of system architecture, and the ability to make and drive decisions related to costs, quality, and risks. Proficiency in German and English is necessary.
