The Company is seeking a President to lead its transition to a fully operational public university. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and further developing the strategic vision and mission of the university, shaping its structure, organization, and scientific, educational, and social impact. This key role demands strong, inclusive, and visionary leadership, as well as the management and representation of the university both internally and externally. The President will oversee the operational business, and the strategic development of interdisciplinary and project-based study programs, and ensure the responsible knowledge transfer to the public and other stakeholders. Applicants for the President position at the company should have an outstanding international reputation as a scientist, a proven track record of senior strategic leadership in an academic or similar research environment, and extensive knowledge in various disciplines, higher education and research systems, science policy, innovation, and funding. An entrepreneurial mindset, a strong interest in technology transfer, and a public outreach are essential. The role requires a strong team player with a history of building and managing high-performing teams, and the ability to promote a culture that is inclusive, innovative, and collaborative. A strong international professional network and a readiness to be located in the Linz region are also necessary.
