Head of Engineering

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering for a greenfield industrial project in the food sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the implementation of a new industrial unit, leading the engineering activities from conception to production start-up. This role demands a high level of on-site presence and technical knowledge in various engineering specialties, including mechanical, electrical, and civil, to ensure the technical coordination of the project and effective liaison with local and international teams. Key responsibilities include leading the engineering component of the project, coordinating supplier selection, monitoring the manufacturing and installation of industrial equipment, and developing the engineering and maintenance strategy for the new production unit. The role also involves promoting standardization, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and assuming operational leadership of the engineering and maintenance area once the unit is operational. To be considered for this position, candidates must have a higher education degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in leadership roles within industrial engineering. Proven experience in greenfield projects, industrial expansion, or the installation of new production units is essential, as is a solid understanding of CAPEX project management. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry or similar process industries, knowledge of IFS standards, and exposure to international or multi-site management. Fluency in English and excellent leadership, influencing, and team development skills are also required.
