Interim Head of Reserving, Personal Lines Motor & Home

The Company is seeking a Head of Reserving to join their senior actuarial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the reserving function across motor and home portfolios, overseeing the end-to-end reserving process, and providing in-depth insights into portfolio performance, emerging claims trends, and key movements. This role involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders in actuarial, claims, underwriting, pricing, and finance, as well as leading and developing a team of actuarial professionals. The Head of Reserving will also be involved in reserving governance, controls, audit, and regulatory engagement, and will play a key role in supporting the business through a period of significant change and integration. Applicants for the Head of Reserving position should have a minimum of 7 years' actuarial experience, with a focus on general insurance reserving. Strong technical reserving expertise and a proven track record of leadership are essential. The role requires the ability to take ownership of reserving cycles, communicate complex analyses to senior stakeholders, and manage high-performing actuarial teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at working in a dynamic environment and be prepared to contribute to the company's strategic objectives during a period of transformation.
