Head of Tax, Oil & Gas

The Company is seeking a Head of Tax to join its international business at a pivotal stage of development. This senior management role is pivotal in establishing, shaping, and leading the Group tax function, with a focus on building a robust tax framework that encompasses governance, compliance, reporting, and strategic tax planning. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the company's growth, dealing with a wide range of technically challenging and commercially significant tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing the Group's tax strategy, leading all aspects of corporate tax, international tax, and transfer pricing, ensuring tax compliance, and partnering with senior stakeholders on various business initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role is a qualified tax professional with substantial post-qualified experience, strong international corporate tax expertise, and a proven track record in managing transfer pricing, tax governance, and tax risk matters. Experience in the upstream oil and gas sector, particularly with Production Sharing Agreements (PSAs), and a background in supporting exploration and development activities, is highly desirable. The role requires a candidate with strong commercial awareness, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery.
