Vice President, Markets Regulatory Counsel

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Markets Regulatory Counsel to join their dynamic and fast-paced business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal and regulatory advice across a broad range of global markets products, with a focus on derivatives, repo, and securities lending. This role involves advising on complex regulatory developments, supporting the implementation of evolving regulatory requirements, and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with EMIR, UK EMIR Margin Rules, MiFID II, and relevant US regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with strong experience in regulatory matters within an investment bank, financial institution, or leading private practice, and will have a deep understanding of global markets regulation. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Markets Regulatory Counsel include advising on legal and regulatory issues related to clearing arrangements, transaction reporting, and capital-related regulatory issues, as well as drafting, reviewing, and negotiating market documentation. The role requires an individual with excellent commercial judgment, a pragmatic approach, and the ability to manage complex legal issues while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders. The candidate should have outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills and be able to contribute to legal know-how initiatives and shape best practices across the legal function.
