Associate Vice President of Operations Support

Greater Mumbai, India Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Operations Support within its International Wealth and Premier Banking division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the First Line of Defense and Operations support activities, ensuring full compliance with regional guidelines, regulatory standards, and group policies. This role involves coordinating and managing the audit function of the team, as well as overseeing the end-to-end operational risk management and control monitoring activities. The AVP will also be tasked with cultivating risk control and ownership disciplines within the IWPB teams and will require strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with various internal partners. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in risk and control management, with a focus on control testing and monitoring assessment. The role demands a candidate with a good understanding of operational risk and internal control principles, attention to detail, and the ability to meet aggressive timeframes. Stakeholder management experience, particularly in impactful communication, negotiation, and influencing, is essential. The AVP will be expected to have a graduate degree, preferably in a numerate discipline, and familiarity with AI-enabled tools is considered an advantage. The position requires a professional who can balance business growth with compliance and risk, and who is adept at identifying and addressing irregularities and non-compliance issues.
