The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer for Kenya to spearhead the implementation of its innovative commercial agriculture model. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the company's strategy into on-the-ground execution, leading agronomy, agricultural operations, and the REP program. This pivotal role demands a leader who can identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, build scalable processes, and ensure the integration of various functions to operate as a cohesive system. The COO will also be tasked with establishing and upholding high standards of operational discipline, safety, and culture, as well as developing local managers to foster a culture of ownership and professional management. Applicants for the COO position should have a minimum of 7 years' operational leadership experience, with a strong background in managing complex, distributed, or multi-site operations. A deep understanding of agriculture and commercial farming operations is essential, as is the ability to lead specialists in agronomy, mechanization, and irrigation. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in building management systems, processes, and operational discipline, and experience in working with digital systems like ERP and farm management systems. The ideal candidate will be highly structured, execution-oriented, and possess strong people leadership and problem-solving skills. A willingness to relocate to Kenya and work across the company's operating regions is a must, and experience in diverse cultural and complex operating environments is highly desirable.
