The Company is seeking a Head of Fund Accounting to lead and oversee the accounting operations within its insurance division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and statutory accounting principles, leading a team in financial reporting, cash management, reconciliations, and operational accounting across multiple entities. This role involves close collaboration with investment accounting teams, serving as the primary resource for technical accounting research, and managing the internal control environment. The Head of Fund Accounting will also be involved in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, group-level reporting, and will provide guidance on the accounting implications of new products or transactions. Applicants for the Head of Fund Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in the life insurance industry. A strong understanding of statutory accounting principles and GAAP life insurance accounting is essential, as is the ability to manage people, processes, and projects effectively in a multi-entity environment. Experience with general ledger systems and insurance accounting systems is a plus. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate across geographically dispersed teams, and a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams. The Head of Fund Accounting will also be involved in research and implementation of new accounting standards and must be adept at managing regulatory examinations and audits.
