Greater Peoria, IL Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs to serve as the senior academic affairs officer, with a primary focus on leadership, management, strategic direction, and policy development for the academic affairs division. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing and supporting the mission of the college by providing a range of academic services and programs that meet the diverse educational needs of students and the community. This role involves providing vision and guidance for instructional programs, policy formulation, educational planning, and new program development. The Provost/Vice President will also be involved in academic planning, teaching, research, partnerships, and continuing education, and will serve on the President's cabinet, contributing to the college's strategic goals. Applicants for the Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs position at the company must have a Master's degree, with a preference for a Doctoral degree, and at least 7 years' of experience in academic affairs at the college or university level. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in leadership, strategic planning, program development, budget management, and supervision. Cultural competency, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and experience in shared governance are essential. The ideal candidate will be a visionary, inspiring, and transformational leader with a strong background in problem-solving and change management. Responsibilities also include representing the college in decision-making and with external agencies, and a deep understanding of the mission and values of a community college.
