Assistant General Counsel

The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join their legal and compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior legal counsel and support on complex matters that impact the business. This role involves independently managing legal issues, serving as a strategic legal advisor to executives and leaders, and ensuring that legal recommendations align with the company's business strategies. The Assistant General Counsel will also be involved in drafting and interpreting legal documents, negotiating contracts, and providing guidance on a wide range of legal and regulatory compliance needs, particularly in the areas of agricultural and commercial lending, real estate, bankruptcy, and corporate law. Applicants for the Assistant General Counsel position at the company should have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, a professional license to practice law in the relevant state, and a strong background in legal and compliance matters, with a preference for those with experience in agricultural finance or a regulated financial institution. The role requires a high level of integrity, strong analytical and decision-making skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of applying legal principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
