Associate General Counsel

Greater Minneapolis, MN Area (Headquarter location)
The Company is in search of an Associate General Counsel to provide legal counsel and representation, with a focus on labor and employment matters, and support for risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of in-house legal practice, including but not limited to, litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory and compliance matters. This role requires a legal professional who can maintain independent judgment, collaborate cross-functionally, and serve as a trusted legal partner to the organization's leaders. Key responsibilities include providing legal advice and representation in various legal matters, supporting the General Counsel in all legal functions, and participating in the selection and management of outside counsel. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree, a Juris Doctor, and be licensed to practice law in Minnesota or eligible for prompt admission. A minimum of 5 years' of relevant legal experience is required, with a preference for those with a background in general in-house, healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or similarly regulated industries. The role demands proficiency in legal technology, excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and risk implications, and a demonstrated ability to provide practical, service-oriented legal counsel in alignment with the organization's mission and values.
