Vice President, Accounting & Controller

The Company is in search of a VP, Accounting and Controller to join their executive team as a strategic financial business partner. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a team of accounting professionals, overseeing daily work activities and projects, and ensuring the implementation of accounting and financial policies, procedures, and systems. This role involves preparing various financial reports, maintaining internal controls, and driving accounting process transformation to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The VP, Accounting and Controller will also engage with external stakeholders, support audits, reconciliations, and tax filings, and stay abreast of evolving accounting regulations and best practices. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA license and 8-10 years' of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including leadership roles. Expertise in regulatory compliance, internal controls, and risk management strategies is essential, as is proficiency in GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Experience in large or complex organizations, particularly with government accounting and federal funding sources, is highly preferred. The position demands a bilingual (English and Spanish) professional with a valid driver's license, who is ready to take on the challenge of ensuring the company's financial integrity and supporting its organizational goals.
