About the Role
Greater Seattle, WA Area (Headquarter location)
The Company is seeking a President for its U.S. Program, a pivotal role in leading the foundation's education strategy to promote upward mobility. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the division's vision and strategy, with a focus on making education a true engine of opportunity and economic mobility. This includes leading an integrated portfolio that spans K-12 and postsecondary education, data and AI infrastructure, and advocacy for system improvement. The President will be expected to lead a multi-disciplinary team, build and sustain high-trust relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, and ensure that the division's work is grounded in evidence, equity, and the needs of historically underserved populations. Candidates for the President, U.S. Program position should have a deep understanding of U.S. education and economic mobility systems, and a proven track record of leading large, complex teams through strategic evolution and organizational change. The role requires exceptional leadership skills, a strong commitment to equity and inclusion, and the ability to use data and evidence to inform strategy and decision-making. Experience in managing significant budgets, grants, and partner relationships, as well as a background in AI, data infrastructure, and technology-enabled systems change, is essential. The President will also be expected to serve as an enterprise leader, contributing to the foundation's overall strategy and culture, and to model the values of the organization, including optimism, collaboration, rigor, innovation, and inclusion.
