Associate Vice President, General Casualty Division

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for its General Casualty Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting a complex book of business, with a focus on the North Asia Region. This role involves developing business from assigned broker accounts, evaluating risk submissions, and contributing to overall business growth while maintaining profitability targets and risk appetite guidelines. The AVP will also be tasked with managing and growing a portfolio of insurance products through strategic business relationships, leading underwriting and portfolio management, and actively participating in business development and relationship management. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree, with professional insurance qualifications and a minimum of 5-10 years' underwriting experience in relevant insurance products. The role requires a strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and the ability to build trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with clients and brokers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, portfolio management, and a customer service orientation. Professional working proficiency in one or more additional languages, such as Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Cantonese, is an asset.
