About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Senior Mobile (Android) Developer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and shipping new features for a hybrid banking app, as well as profiling and optimizing app performance and memory usage. This role requires a hands-on approach to engineering, including the application of security best practices, writing clean and maintainable code, and mentoring junior engineers through code reviews. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kotlin and Java, a solid understanding of the Android SDK and component lifecycles, and experience with UI development using both Jetpack Compose and XML Views. Applicants must have a proven track record of shipping and maintaining production apps on Google Play, and be well-versed in a range of technical skills including reactive programming, architecture patterns, dependency injection frameworks, networking, and local data storage. Experience in building and optimizing hybrid apps, as well as a deep understanding of performance optimization and security best practices, is essential. The role also requires experience with unit and UI testing, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and crash and performance monitoring tools. The candidate should be adept at working in Agile/Scrum teams, possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, and be capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
