About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Business Analyst for Operational Risk within its Risk Management Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing data analytics initiatives, including the use of machine learning and generative artificial intelligence tools, to enhance operational risk management processes. This role involves managing project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, driving stakeholder discussions to gather requirements, and bridging the operational risk function with technology teams to ensure the effective translation of business needs into system requirements. The VP will also be involved in developing user stories, conducting user acceptance testing, and resolving system-related issues. Applicants must have a university degree in a relevant quantitative discipline, a minimum of 8 years' experience in financial institutions or system-related work, and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. The role requires a meticulous, structured, and systematic individual with a strong attention to detail, who is also a resilient team player and can work independently. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential, with experience in SQL and data analytics tools such as Qlik Sense and/or Tableau being highly desirable. A background in machine learning models and a good understanding of generative AI tools is increasingly important and will be highly regarded. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with a positive attitude towards challenging the status quo and exploring changes for improvement, and have a strong analytical ability to identify and resolve system issues while considering their impact holistically.
