Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead its organization and drive the vision of making movement, physical activity, and sport integral to the well-being of the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and organizational leadership, with a focus on strengthening the company's position as a trusted convener and building alignment across various sectors. This role is pivotal in addressing the inequalities that hinder individuals from leading active, healthy, and fulfilled lives, particularly those affected by systemic issues such as low income, long-term health conditions, and social exclusion. As the CEO, you will be accountable for the effective running of the company, leading it into the next investment period, and ensuring that national priorities are translated into meaningful local change. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, inclusive, and emotionally intelligent leader, with a background in partnership and system leadership. Strong financial judgment, experience in organizational sustainability, and the ability to manage significant funding relationships are essential. The role requires a clear and engaging communicator who can work transparently with the Board, and while knowledge of the local area is beneficial, it is not a mandatory requirement. The focus is on a collaborative, evidence-led approach that is centered on the community and its needs.
