Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a key strategic partner to the Board and the Centre Director. The COO will be responsible for providing strong strategic, financial, and operational expertise to ensure the organization's financial sustainability and to translate strategic priorities into effective operational plans, systems, and services. The role demands a strong people leader with a deep commitment to social justice, extensive financial management experience, and a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams. The successful candidate will also be tasked with managing diverse funding sources, including government funding and grants, and leading organizational change and business transformation initiatives. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have relevant tertiary qualifications in business, management, commerce, public administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent executive leadership experience. The role requires a leader with a strong knowledge of governance, enterprise risk management, compliance, and organizational systems, as well as excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Experience in the community legal, legal assistance, not-for-profit, or community services sector is highly regarded.
