Interim National Deputy Head of School, Quality Teaching & Pedagogical Research

The Company is seeking a National Deputy Head of School for Quality Teaching and Pedagogical Research. This leadership role is pivotal in the National School of Education, with a focus on the implementation of the school's courses and programs, quality assurance, and the achievement of academic targets. The successful candidate will lead work packages related to quality teaching and pedagogical research, contribute to the school's performance in learning, teaching, and research, and support the financial management of the National School. Key responsibilities also include co-supervision and management of school staff, a representational role in a campus-based setting, and engagement with local and industry partners. Applicants for this fixed-term position should have a Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience, as well as a proven track record in leadership within a university setting. The role requires a strong capacity to support quality teaching, particularly in alignment with the company's learning and teaching strategy, and a focus on ITE pedagogies. Understanding of budget and financial management principles, and a commitment to the strategic pillars of the company in connection with teacher education, are essential. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to service and leadership within the university community.
