The Company is in search of a Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to spearhead its enterprise compliance function and provide strategic oversight of regulatory risk. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effectiveness of the compliance management framework, with a focus on consumer regulatory compliance, CRA, fair lending, privacy, and compliance governance. This role involves setting the direction for the compliance program, maintaining a comprehensive framework for managing regulatory risk, and ensuring that the organization is in line with all applicable banking requirements. The CCO will also lead compliance risk assessments, monitor regulatory developments, and build a strong compliance culture within the organization. Applicants for the CCO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least 15 years' of progressive compliance experience in banking or financial services. A minimum of 5 years' in a senior compliance leadership role is required, particularly within a regional or community banking environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in consumer compliance, CRA, fair lending, and regulatory risk management, as well as a strong understanding of federal and state consumer protection and banking regulations. Experience in managing regulatory examinations, and a strong knowledge of privacy requirements, including GLBA and CCPA/CPRA, are also essential. The role demands strong leadership skills, executive-level communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders across business and control functions.
