Head of Medical Services

The Company is in search of a Head of Medical Services to lead and transform healthcare delivery within a national network. This pivotal role involves providing strategic medical leadership, driving service transformation, and developing innovative workforce and medical engagement strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening clinical governance, quality, and risk management frameworks, and will play a key part in shaping healthcare strategy and delivering patient-centered models of care. Building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and mentoring future medical leaders are also integral to the position. The ideal candidate for the Head of Medical Services role at the company is a respected and influential healthcare leader with a Fellowship of RACGP, ACRRM, FRACMA, or an equivalent specialist qualification. Extensive experience in senior medical leadership, particularly within complex clinical environments, is essential. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in clinical governance, healthcare operations, and service improvement, as well as strong expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams through change. Exceptional stakeholder engagement, executive communication skills, and a strategic, yet collaborative, leadership style are also necessary. Experience in correctional health, justice health, public health, community health, or government-funded healthcare services is highly regarded.
