Associate Vice President, Loan Operations Remote (anywhere in Malaysia)

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Loan Operations with a strong focus on people management, risk and compliance, and operations and controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and guiding subordinates to enhance staff productivity and ensure the consistency of operational support and delivery. This role also involves promoting a sound compliance culture, maintaining key control aspects of operations, and timely reporting and addressing of any potential or actual breaches of regulatory requirements or internal policies. In addition to people management and compliance, the role requires a hands-on approach to operations and controls. The AVP will be expected to ensure that transaction processing and departmental activities are completed within the expected time frame and in accordance with operating procedures. This includes end-to-end daily transaction processing, verification, and authorization of operational actions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate will also be proactive in resolving routine issues, providing support for customer inquiries, and implementing preventive and corrective actions for defects and complaints. Collaboration with other operations teams and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision are essential. The role demands a candidate with a strong background in operational processes, risk management, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of ethical and professional behavior. A proactive approach to process improvement, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to cover for staff members in their absence are also key attributes. The AVP will be expected to have a deep understanding of the industry and to be able to contribute to the continuous enhancement of operational processes.
