Vice President, Internal Audit, Corporate Banking

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Internal Audit with a focus on corporate banking. This role is pivotal in the expansion and strengthening of the company's governance framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing internal audit reviews specifically within the lending and wholesale banking credit risk portfolios. Key responsibilities include assessing the effectiveness of controls, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to enhance the overall governance framework. The position offers significant exposure to key stakeholders across the business and risk functions. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, or banking, and possess solid experience in internal audit, credit review, credit risk, or a related assurance function. A strong understanding of wholesale and/or retail credit processes and risk management practices is essential. The role requires excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and relevant professional qualifications such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
