Managing Director, AI Solutions Architecture Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for AI Solutions Architecture to join its founding team. The successful candidate will be the senior technical authority in the AI Services practice, responsible for leading technical assessments, translating findings into actionable roadmaps, and personally delivering the first client builds. This role is pivotal in defining the technical delivery method, owning the practice's platform depth, and building and leading a Delivery Pod. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 12 years' experience in solutions architecture, engineering leadership, or applied AI, with a strong background in client-facing or pre-sales roles. Deep hands-on capabilities in Python and TypeScript, as well as experience in enterprise architecture, security, and commercial scoping, are essential. Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company should be adept at working in a dynamic, client-focused environment and be prepared to take on a player-coach role. The role requires a candidate who can seamlessly transition from whiteboarding with a CIO to shipping production code, and who is comfortable with the technical and commercial aspects of the business. Experience in regulated industries or private equity portfolio environments is a plus, and the company values candidates with visible technical eminence, such as open-source contributions or conference speaking. Success in the role will be measured by the credibility of technical findings, the conversion of roadmaps to signed builds, the quality of client builds, and the effectiveness of the Delivery Pod.
