Vice President, Legal & Business Affairs

The Company is seeking a VP of Legal and Business Affairs to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the delivery of the company's strategic objectives, with a focus on commercial and legal matters. This role requires a highly experienced legal practitioner, preferably with a background in the TV and film business, who can adeptly manage a diverse range of projects both in the UK and internationally. The VP will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing a variety of deals, including those related to unscripted content, and will be involved in all aspects of legal and business affairs for US-based productions. The role also involves supporting the EVP in corporate-level matters, and providing guidance on industry agreements and best practices. Applicants for the VP position must be UK qualified lawyers with a minimum of 7 years' post-qualification experience in the TV and film industry. A strong strategic mindset, in-depth knowledge of the business, and the ability to proactively manage a busy legal slate are essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the industry, be adept at resolving commercial and legal disputes, and have experience in multi-territory negotiations. A background in the music and audio industry, particularly in catalogue acquisitions, is desirable. The role demands a collaborative approach, excellent management skills, and a keen attention to detail in all legal and business affairs.
