Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead and coordinate its operating activities, with a focus on optimizing efficiency across the supply chain, design, service, and plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrated operations leadership, project and order execution, manufacturing and capacity expansion, supply chain, stores, and logistics management, as well as service, spares, and site operations. The role also involves driving operational excellence, governance, and P&L, and requires a hands-on approach to execution, a strong leadership mindset, and the ability to build and scale operating systems. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, production, or industrial engineering, with a preference for a post-graduate degree in operations management. A minimum of 25 years of professional experience in heavy engineering, capital equipment, or customized machinery manufacturing operations is required, with at least 7 to 10 years in senior operational leadership roles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in an engineering-to-order environment, solid exposure to heavy fabrication, machining, and complex mechanical/electrical integration, and experience in multi-plant manufacturing and CAPEX plant expansions. Strong leadership skills, a hands-on execution mindset, and the ability to drive continuous improvement are essential, as is a cultural fit with Indian operating environments.
