Head of Data Engineering

The Company is seeking a Head of Data Engineering to take on a pivotal role in a business-critical data transformation program. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the build-out of a modern data platform, shaping engineering standards, and developing a high-performing team. This leadership position involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders to ensure the delivery of long-term business value. The role is at the forefront of the organization's data and AI capabilities, with a focus on modernizing the data estate and building a scalable platform to support analytics, AI, and business decision-making. As the Head of Data Engineering, you will be tasked with defining and executing the data engineering roadmap, driving delivery across platform development, data migrations, and modernization initiatives. Strong commercial experience in leading data engineering teams and delivering large-scale data platform programs is essential, as is expertise in modern cloud data platforms and a deep understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration tools. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and scaling engineering teams, maintaining high technical standards, and implementing best practices in CI/CD, automation, testing, and DataOps. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical delivery plans are also key requirements for this role.
