Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to oversee and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of all accounting operations within the Belgian organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities, including A-Z accounting, monthly and annual closing, and financial reporting. This role demands a leader with a strong background in accounting, at least 10 years' experience, and a proven track record in a leadership or coordinating capacity. The Head of Accounting will also be tasked with managing a team, fostering a positive and solution-oriented work culture, and driving process improvements and digitalization within the accounting function. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and possess a deep understanding of financial statements, auditing, and reporting. The role requires a hands-on, accurate, and solution-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, capable of effectively managing people and processes. A strong knowledge of Excel, an affinity for ERP and automation, and fluency in Dutch and English are essential. Experience in an international or multi-entity environment is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a convincing people manager, a change driver, and a strategic thinker, with the ability to challenge and explain financial information to diverse stakeholders.
