Head of Accounting

The Company is in search of a Head of Accounting to drive financial excellence and develop talent within a complex, multi-entity environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting and payment activities of various legal entities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data and reporting, and coordinating all financial closings. This role also involves guiding external audit processes, translating complex accounting matters into clear guidelines for the team, and developing efficient procedures to strengthen internal controls. A key aspect of the position is coaching, motivating, and supporting a team of 15 accounting specialists. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in A-Z accounting, with a strong managerial background in an accounting or finance department. A deep knowledge of financial reporting and Belgian accounting legislation is essential, as is the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment. The role requires excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, experience with ERP systems, and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing talent, have a proactive approach to problem-solving, and be able to work effectively in a team-oriented, dynamic work environment.
