Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to oversee and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of all accounting operations within the Belgian organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities, including A-Z accounting, monthly and annual closing, and reporting. This role involves a high level of collaboration with the CFO, business and finance controlling, external auditors, and advisors. The Head of Accounting will also be tasked with managing a team, fostering a positive work environment, and driving process improvements and digitalization within the accounting function. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and have at least 10 years' experience in accounting, with a proven track record of leadership or coordination. The role requires a strong knowledge of financial statements, auditing, and reporting, as well as a basic understanding of taxation. The ideal candidate will be a convincing people manager, a change driver, and possess strong communication skills. Proficiency in Excel, and experience with ERP systems and automation, is essential. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, and experience in an international or multi-entity environment is a plus.
