Fractional Head of Supply Chain Management

The Company is seeking a Head of Supply Chain Management to take on a freelance/temporary contract for a project. The successful candidate will be responsible for both strategic and operational production planning, ensuring the daily planning process is implemented efficiently, and developing and managing the planning organization. This role also involves supporting and further developing production planners, optimizing planning parameters, inventory strategies, and capacity models, and ensuring reliable medium- and long-term planning. Additionally, the Head of Supply Chain Management will oversee purchasing and supplier management, including the development and management of the supplier portfolio, and will be tasked with ensuring material availability while optimizing inventory levels. Applicants must have a degree in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a comparable field, and possess leadership experience in a supply chain, production planning, or purchasing function. The role requires demonstrable experience in developing and managing S&OP processes, as well as a sound knowledge of production planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics. Experience with modern ERP systems, particularly SAP, and a background in complex, cross-functional transformation and improvement projects are essential. The ideal candidate will also have experience with KPI and performance management systems, and knowledge of regulated environments is an advantage. Proficiency in both German and English is a must.
