Vice President, Software Engineering & Development Greater Boston, MA Area

The Company is in search of a visionary Senior Engineer to take on a leadership role in the architecture, engineering strategy, and modernization initiatives within its Markets Operations Technology organization. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of technology leadership experience, with a strong background in designing and delivering large-scale platforms within Capital Markets. This role is pivotal in defining and executing the target-state architecture for Operations platforms, and the successful candidate will be responsible for driving the adoption of advanced technologies and industry best practices, particularly in the areas of cloud, artificial intelligence, and robotics process automation. Applicants must possess deep expertise in building and operating highly resilient, cloud-native technology platforms, as well as expert knowledge of Domain Driven Design, Microservices Architecture, and Event-Driven Architecture. Strong experience with modern application architectures, AI, public cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and software engineering excellence is essential. The role also requires a deep understanding of technology risk, cybersecurity, and governance frameworks, along with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. The candidate should be adept at influencing across all levels of the organization and have a proven track record of leading and inspiring high-performing global teams. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required, along with a solid background in Java, the Spring ecosystem, relational databases, and various other technical skills outlined in the job description.
