Interim Head of Transformation

The Company is seeking an Interim Head of Transformation to provide portfolio-level leadership, governance, and assurance across complex transformation initiatives. The role will ensure programmes are well sequenced, resourced, and delivered, while driving sustainable service redesign, operational improvement, and digital transformation to improve resident outcomes and manage demand costs. Responsibilities include overseeing benefits realisation, financial savings, and organisational capacity for change, and leading the development and delivery of a corporate transformation strategy. The successful candidate will also identify opportunities for service improvement, organisational redesign, and more effective ways of working, while building a high-performing transformation and programme management function. Candidates should bring senior leadership experience in local government across complex, multi-service directorates. They must have a strong track record delivering large-scale transformation, including measurable financial, operational, and service improvements. Experience in organisational and service redesign, including implementing new operating models and ways of working, is essential. The role requires the ability to embed the capabilities, disciplines, and culture needed to deliver lasting organisational change.
