Assistant Vice President, Intellectual Property Insurance Broker Greater Chicago, IL Area

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Intellectual Property Insurance Broker to manage client relationships and broker strategic intellectual property insurance programs. Responsibilities include placing complex, layered coverage, serving as a primary contact for executive-level clients, and coordinating client service and new business opportunities. The role also involves negotiating with underwriters, developing business pipelines, using data to improve client programs, and supporting claims advocacy. The successful candidate will mentor junior colleagues, promote effective use of technology, and help manage professional liability exposure. Candidates should have at least four years of brokering or underwriting experience in intellectual property, cyber, errors and omissions, directors and officers, or related financial and professional lines. Strong capabilities in insurance strategy, retail brokerage, account management, team leadership, project management, business development, and stakeholder and client relationship management are required. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a property and casualty license within 120 days of hire.
