The Company is seeking a Vice President of Portfolio Management, Sponsor Finance, to oversee a portfolio of sponsor-backed middle-market leveraged loans and contribute to underwriting, structuring, execution, and syndication of new transactions. Responsibilities include monitoring borrower performance, covenant compliance, risk ratings, and emerging risks; managing renewals, amendments, waivers, and restructurings; and presenting credit reviews and recommendations to senior leaders and credit committees. The role also involves evaluating new financing requests, negotiating credit documentation with legal counsel, maintaining relationships with sponsors and lending partners, and developing risk-mitigation strategies for challenged credits. The successful candidate will provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Candidates should have at least seven years of relevant leveraged finance, underwriting, or portfolio management experience, including demonstrated experience with middle-market leveraged loans and private equity sponsor-backed companies. Strong knowledge of leveraged lending structures, cash-flow underwriting, valuation, debt capacity, covenants, and transaction modeling is required, along with experience managing amendments, waivers, restructurings, and refinancing. Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A high school diploma or GED is required; formal credit training is preferred.
